Using obsolete apps or templates and plug-ins for them, or using very simple passwords always poses a threat to your websites since these things make it much easier to hack them. Things get worse if you have multiple websites since all of them will be in danger if an attacker gets control of just one of them. This is the reason why we've created JailHost - an advanced security option which isolates Internet sites from each other. If a website is compromised, the attacker will be unable to find or access any other content outside the site folder, so all the rest of the websites part of this account will be protected and will be intact. Using the JailHost option will never substitute performing regular script updates or using proper passwords, but it will minimize any damage to your websites significantly, so you will have to fix only one website and not all of them.

JailHost in Shared Web Hosting

If you host your sites within a shared web hosting account from our firm, you will be able to protect them by using the JailHost option with just a couple of mouse clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. This feature is provided with all plans and can be enabled for every folder as the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have individual folders, so files for many different Internet sites never get mixed up like it quite often happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default as you may use scripts which require access to folders outside the primary site folder and this option can interfere with their correct operation, but shielding all the other folders is really easy. If a protected website gets hacked for whatever reason, we'll be able to restore it very quickly since we'll have multiple daily backup copies of your entire account and you will even be able to view the available backups using Hepsia.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers

JailHost is provided with all our semi-dedicated server solutions, so if you host several websites, you can easily isolate them from one another so as to keep them safe. This feature has to be activated for every single website and is not active by default, in order to avoid interference with scripts which require access to multiple folders within the account. Activating it for all other websites will take no more than a couple of mouse clicks inside the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Unlike other Control Panels, Hepsia doesn't place different websites under the main domain folder. Instead, every single domain or subdomain has its own folder, that makes it much simpler to take care of and protect all of your websites. In case that a website inside your account is hacked, not only will your other websites remain untouched, but we will also be able to recover the damaged Internet site in a short time because we will have multiple backup copies of your entire content.
